Carmel, California Series Hand-colored Pencil Reproductions “What is a Hand-Colored, One of a Kind,Limited Edition Pencil Reproduction”   From the original pencil/graphite drawing GS Hill completes after approximately 10 to 60 hours per drawing, a black and white photo negative is produced.  The photo of the drawing is then off-set printed on ivory paper in black ink. The edition’s range from 100 to 250 prints per drawing and each print is hand water-colored, signed, titled, numbered and logged by Mr. Hill.   The pencil gives a very detailed image of the many pleasing subjects G.S Hill finds on both the East and West coasts.  The water color adds soft subtle hints of color.  Each print varies slightly in tints and highlights.   We are proud to present the entire collection double matted and shrunk wrapped for protection in shipping.   Click the thumbnails below for a larger view!
